SAP and Oracle: Market Share Dispute

A look at the North American market share numbers for SAP versus the merged Oracle/Peoplesoft. SAP is taking issue

with Oracle’s claims of having the largest applications business in North America. Although research group IDC once

predicted that Oracle could surpass SAP in North America thanks to the PeopleSoft merger, the numbers that came in

for 2004 show SAP still in the lead.
