Day Two At Oracle Open World 2012

Posted in: Technical Track

With Oracle Asia Pacific’s mesmerizing reception and ACE’s reception in the bag from day one, day two not only brought knowledge-packed sessions, but also unstoppable praises for Pythian from customers, bloggers, speakers, Oracle professionals, and the general audience.

From the OTN lounge to the Moscone North, West, and South and beyond, people are thronging the downtown San Francisco with Oracle’s flying colors of red. Many of them are Pythian customers, blog readers, alumni, friend,s or fans. Pythian’s Love Your Data T-shirts were the reason that people approached and thanked our Pythian teams across the world, who are doing wonderful job internally for the clients and externally through the social media.

Cloud, consolidation, analytics, and enterprise manager were some of the hot topics of today’s presentation among many others. Hadoop, Exadata, Big Data, 12c, X3 are some of the most asked-for and used terms during this 2012 Open World here.

I had a first taste of Americano coffee, root beer, and ginger ale today, and, well, they rock.

I will have to ask Andy Klock about some Texan BBQ joint in SF! :)

About the Author

I have been in love with Oracle blogging since 2007. This blogging, coupled with extensive participation in Oracle forums, plus Oracle related speaking engagements, various Oracle certifications, teaching, and working in the trenches with Oracle technologies has enabled me to receive the Oracle ACE award. I was the first ever Pakistani to get that award. From Oracle Open World SF to Foresight 20:20 Perth. I have been expressing my love for Exadata. For the last few years, I am loving the data at Pythian, and proudly writing their log buffer carnivals.
