Recently Microsoft announced Azure Cosmos DB, the successor for DocumentDB. One of our Datascape regulars, Warner Chaves, called me up to tell me how excited he was and how significant he thinks that this development is to cloud-based databases. By the end of the phone call I knew we had another interesting episode on our hands, so I have invited Warner back to the podcast today to tell us more about Azure Cosmos DB, its significance, and why we should be paying attention to it.

Another great podcast. Thank you. Would it be possible to publish a comparison table for the different NOSQL databases presented in this podcast listing their respective strengths and opportunities?
