Oracle tops SAP`s bid for Retek

Posted in: Technical Track

Oracle has upped its Retek offer from $9 to $11.25 per share, a figure which is 2 percent above SAP’s latest bid of

$11. Since SAP had called its last offer a “best and final” offer, it is unclear whether another counter-offer will be forthcoming.

Analysts have indicated that allowing Retek to land in the hands of SAP could be a severe blow to Oracle’s retail strategy.
