Western Union needed a new application infrastructure that could linearly scale with the rapidly growing business. The old distributed system relying on Oracle Advanced Replication couldn’t keep up with growing data volumes, and the replication lag was unacceptable. Oracle GoldenGate made it possible to provide real-time access to up-to-date information to all users and ensure data consistency.
