Sun to Unveil New Grid Group Products

Sun Microsystems Inc. has formed a new division to develop a line of grid computing products. Formed in late 2004, the division has been quietly working on a new line of grid-based services. The first of these products is expected to be unveiled next week.

The initial offering will include a new storage grid product as well as an expanded version of Sun’s N1 Pay-Per-Use Grid Computing service. Sun intends to offer the service commercially on a widespread basis. read article.
