Good luck to acquaintances (dare I say friends? we have never met in person!) of mine Jonathan Lewis and Doug Burns who are presenting on April 27th at the UKOUG Northern Server Technology Day. Jonathan will be presenting twice, covering migrations away from stone tablets^H^H^H^H^H the rule-based optimizer as well as using dynamic performance views, and Doug will be presenting the same paper he gave at Hotsos on parallel execution. Also presenting are Pete Finnigan, whose work on Oracle security I admire very much, and industry notables Niall Litchfield and Jeff Moss among others. I am looking forward to hearing how it all comes off.

Thanks, Paul. I did see this this morning, before my presentation and thought I’d reply properly later but right now my brain is capable of sleep and not much else. I’m sure I’ll get round to a blog tomorrow. I have lots of notes ;-)
(I think ‘friends’ just about covers it, by the way)
Remember those notes I mentioned? Damn, I lost them before I blogged. We still had a good time though and I’ve tried to capture what I remember, here
