Here’s the surprise – implementing RDA for Oracle GoldenGate Data collection (Doc ID 1362838.1):

./rda.sh -S OGG

This is useful as it will provide the architecture for GoldenGate implementation.

Hi Michael,

Good to know rda is evolving day by day. OGG will be of great help for DBAs. I recently used RDA while migrating an ebs database to Solaris SPARC machine. It provides a summarized information and helps dbas know if any pre-requisite was missed. A great help when you are working on OS you are not familiar with before for ex. there are different methods for different operating systems to set kernel parameters.

Hi Maaz,

Please keep in mind this is for when database is running on filesystem.

For HAS/RAC, cluvfy is better suited.

Thanks Michael.
